Visit the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada Natural and National Park
Las Alpujarras a county, surrounded by Sierra Nevada in the north, the sierras of Lujar, the Contraviesa and Gador in the high part, with valleys leading to the Mediterranean in the south.
Natural beauty, gentle climate and clear waters ruining down from the sierra in little creeks. The soil is fertile and apart from wine, olive-, orange- and lemon trees dominate these terraced valleys and gorges.

Trevelez at 1746 m, the highest village of the Spanish peninsula and worldwide known for it's excellent hams.

The three white villages of the Poquiera ravine; Pampaneira, Bubión y Capileira are the most visited and most painteresque with outstanding views over the surrounding mountains.

The European GR7 (long distance walking track starting in Athens and terminating in Lisbon) passes the area.
